Every couple of minutes while I'm playing PoE my screen goes black, comes back with bad resolution and than goes black again. This lasts for a couple of seconds and then my computer screen goes back to normal. I can still hear sounds from the game in the same quality when this happens.

 

I also hear the windows disconnected device sound. This fact led me at first to believe perhaps it was my monitor that was disconnecting. But this only happens when I'm playing Poe....

Hello, witchtree7.  It looks like your computer just barely hits minimum requirements based on your video card and processor.  Are you running the game with the graphics slider all the way down?  That might help your situation.  If that doesn't fix the issue please update this thread accordingly.

I have tried turning the graphics down and it didn't make any difference. They game runs very smoothly and lag free other then this one issue.

Hm, one possibility could be an overheating of your grafic card. PoE is very demanding and heats up cpu and gpu very good.

Could you check the temperatures/ remove eventual dust from the heatsinks and fans? If there are temperature sensors on the grafic card gpuz should pick them up https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

The cpu and gpu seem to stay at a reasonable temp. Oh well, the game is still playable.
