I messed up the Fragments of a Scattered Faith quest because I didn't converse properly with Eder. I don't know if I said the wrong thing, or cut it off, or whatever. That conversation should open up the next step of the quest, which I don't have.

 

I'd like to talk to Eder again, but that little conversation bubble doesn't show. If I try to talk to him by clicking his reticule, he just says some phrase.

 

Any way to do talk to him so I can advance the quest?

 

 

There's a button with a dialogue bubble icon on the right side of each NPC's quickbar. You can use that to start a conversation with them, though that might not solve your problem if the quest truly bugged out on you.

Also check your quest journal to see if there is any hint there as to where the quest stands.

Thank you so much! Clicking on that dialogue box opened the conversation to continue the quest. Can't believe I never notice that before.

And you have to use it often with Durance as he rarely initiates dialogue after the initial meeting if you have him in your party.
