Game crashes after latest steam update (downloaded 10.5.15) with the error:

 

There should be 'PillarsOfEternity_Data' folder next to the executable.

 

This folder appears to be missing. All game data appears in a folder called EmptySteamDepot. Should the be renamed to PillarsOfEternity_Data???

according to what I have seen, yup.

renaming the emptysteamdepot folder to pillarsofeternity_data does work.

...or else completely reinstalling the game from steam....

which then leaves the emptysteamdepot folder with nearly a full duplicate of all game files, thus doubling the space the game uses.

so, yeah, I'd kinda go for the first method.
