I honestly forget how this was done for Sword Coast and BG2, but wasn't there some sort of import feature from BG1? I'd hate to have to remake my character.

 

Ideally, it would be nice to import your customs as well, but I doubt that would happen. 

Yes.

 

When you installed TOSC you could use the character and party you had completed BG1 with, and you could import your character into BG2.
