Brothel Hirelings stop giving their bonus

When you hire a prostitute from the Salty Mast, he/she appears in your room in Brighthollow, where you can sleep with them. I don't know if they're supposed to still give their stat bonus, but they don't. At least not the one I chose, which is Big Durmsey.

Not only that, but he's still at the Salty Mast (so there are 2 copies of him in the world), but now he has the same dialogue as in my Stronghold, and if I select to sleep with him the game freezes (the screen goes black).
