This may be a Unity issue I'm not sure but I have tried Pillars out on my iMac and am getting considerably worse performance in OSX (Yosemite) than in bootcamp (win 8.1) on the same system. With graphics maxed at 1440p Pillars is locked solid at 60 in bootcamp but in OSX with the same settings frame-rate will drop as low as 40. Is this normal or am I looking at some kind of bug?

Thanks.

How are other OSX users getting on?

On Low Graphics and resolution at 1680x1050, the game runs at ~60fps for ~5 minutes. Then I drop down to 8-10fps and the game is completely unbearable. I guess I'll try this out on my Win7 partition

I don't have any bootcamp installation to compare to, but I don't think I have a steady 60 fps. It's quite smooth, but not buttery smooth :)

How do I check fps?

Well if you own it on steam or launch it through steam you can use steams build in FPS counter. Its under interface in the options.
