no exp from completing a major quest

hi,

 

Just did The Man Who Waits (Sanitarium)...no exp for the party.

 

took earlier save and gave the statue a different answer but no change.

 

any ideas?

same problem. also i was never able to open his chest with the storybook choices

Talking to "the man who waits" gives you 4800xp. You don't need to speak to the Warden.

That chest is part of a different quest: 

 

"A voice from the past".
