I wanted a thread for people to post tooltips which could use improving. I am on my 3rd playthrough now and I discover situations where things don't really work the way tooltips suggest. Even more situations where the tooltips are too vague.

 

Oathsworn Buckler (Paladin only): This shield's tooltip says that it offers +5 to all Defenses and no more. It should absolutely say that it adds this to ALL party members, not just the wearer! It is also unclear if this is an aura with a range or it just applies to everyone. Maybe also mention that it stacks with other items that increase defenses.

 

Kalakoth's Sunless Grasp: Should state that it's a melee range skill.

 

Mirrored Image: This one is too vague. +20 deflection until the first him, around 60s duration. What happens after the first hit? How much deflection is lost? Does it actually end after a number of hits or will it still provide a modest deflection increase until the duration is over?

 

Withdraw (priest): Should state that the target is unable to take any action during the duration.

 

There were more examples, when I see them again I will post them.

I am not allowed to edit the post, so:

 

Instill Doubt (priest): The hover tooltip on this one is wrong, it says it reduces the speed of enemies, when in fact it Dazes.

Shields / loading screen tip A loading screen says that shields increase recovery time, but there is no such information on Shield tooltips. Was this changed to an accuracy penalty instead? Either the loading screen tip or the shield tooltips should be changed.
