Help! How do I get out of Cilant Lis?

I have reached what should be the exit. I have already been thru the ritual cut scene, and explored the area, including clicking on the machine. When I pull up the map, I see the yellow diamond that says "South Road", but there is nothing I can click on to go there. Am I missing something?
