amtrongz
Hi , I am running Pillars under 64bit Debian testing (Jessy), 4 Gig RAM, NVidia 550 Ti (2 Gig RAM) with Nouveau drivers, pulseaudio mixer. The problem is that when the in-game hints close (the roll of paper opening with some informative text on, then closes with characteristing sounds) an annoyingly persistent paper folding sound artefact remains. Please let me know if you need some more specific data to diagnose the issue.
0 Dan_Irving
I have the same issue except mine is on Windows and isn't limited to the in game hints. It seems the sound artifact occurs after I close a scroll but then will recur when I do something like interact with the innkeeper menu (I just started playing and am at the Black Hound Inn). The sound goes into a loop and I can sometimes get it to stop by clicking the different menu items but most of the time I have to exit back to the main menu (don't have to exit the client completely). This occurs on both my USB headset and speakers using default MS drivers. 0 spellcastersuck
I had this problem too. Re-enable tutorial tips and wait for the next tip. Do not disable it again.
0 Dan_Irving
I had this problem too. Re-enable tutorial tips and wait for the next tip. Do not disable it again. Tutorial tips wasn't disabled. I disabled as a test and continued to play. I got a tutorial tip scroll (the reduced size one) and artifact occurred. I re-checked box for tips, saved and will try again. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the 'minimize scroll' checkbox (can't remember what it said exactly) that's at the bottom of the scroll. Didn't have this problem until after checking that box.
