Magrusaod Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Simple question. If I were run two chanters in a group, would their abilities stack? Double Ancient Memory for sustain, and say 2 instances of Come, Come Soft Winds of Death for a double down Healing and Enervation type aura. Simplistic example but would both Chanters abilities stack on top of each other for everyone?
Rhymfaxe Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Easy to test, just save and recruit two chanters from an inn. I have a suspicion that all buffs overwrite buffs of the same name.
Stahlbart Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) So... do they? Edit: Also, does Ancient Memory? Edited May 5, 2015 by Stahlbart
Zwiebelchen Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) My guts tell me that two chants of the same type would not stack, simply because no two buffs of the same type stack in PoE. However, different chants will definitely stack. Edited May 5, 2015 by Zwiebelchen
Stahlbart Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Yeah, I'm guessing that too. But it could be reasonable that maybe one of the following stack: Come, Come Soft Winds of Death The Dragon Thrashed, The Dragon Wailed For they are damaging, not debuffing, or buffing. Same with Ancient Memory. It's a heal, not a buff, right? Since NOTHING seems to really improve chants (except INT for range), this would be a good thing, I think.
Glasny Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) From what i've tested Stahlbart is correct. Buffs overwrite each-other but offensive chants do stack. Ancient memory also stacks. Edited May 5, 2015 by Glasny 1
