DJMASTAJEFF Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Hello, I am getting really bad screen tearing when moving the screen about, messed with frame rate limiter, always on v sync, nothing fixes it. Kind of depressing since it gives me headaches and I haven't been able to play the game at all. Does anyone have any ideas? Windows 7 Nvidia 650M Intel® core i7-3610QM 2.3 GHZ 6 GB RAM
0 DJMASTAJEFF Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 Just in case anyone else gets this, I figured it out. I had windows Aero disabled because I don't really like it. Enabled it back on and all tearing was gone. 1
0 dorkboy Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) I'm getting a lot of screen tearing, as well, on my not-very-good vista laptop (Aero disabled). Might try that, thanks for the tip! Update: Yup, that takes care of the screen tearing, alright! (Both with Aero's transparency On and Off. Not sure if either significantly affects performance.) Edited March 29, 2015 by dorkboy This statement is false.
0 DJMASTAJEFF Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Pretty sure it's just aero in general that uses up more resources than classic so I don't think the transparency will do anything.
