Downloaded on steam.  Tried to start the game and it tells me it cant find the executable file.  I verify instalation and it finds one file thats not right.  It does another download and then says it needs a patch.  Click for it to run the game and it downloads something then goes back to saying it needs to patch again.

Can you verify that you are running steam as an administrator? If you are, right click the game in your library > delete local content > reinstall the game.

Ok i shut steam off and restarted it as admin.  Tried to lauch the game and it did its download then needs patching again.  Uninstalled and reinstalled.  Still says needs to patch.

I went so far as to uninstall steam and reinstall it.  Still having the same issue.

Can you verify that you have write privileges on the drive that you are installing to? Do you have enough free space to install ( >18GB)?

Yes i have write privileges on the drive and over 200 GB free before installing the game.

So now i have disabled all my antivirus/services and whatnot and tried to install the game.  I am still getting the same errors as before.

  • 3 weeks later...

Here I have the same problem, is there any solution? I have done the same as TarinDresden but it doesnt work
