Still have priest bones after clearing Eothasian shrine

I cleared out the shrine and gave the priest bones to the quest giver, who apparently took them away for burial.  Looking in my inventory shows I still have their bones under quest items.

 

Looks like a bug perhaps?

weird mine are gone :/ Maybe it has to do with a particular dialogue choice or something once you wrap it up.
