Game stops after Obsidian logo + solution

Not sure this is already stated anywhere, but it seems the game requires an internet connection to run.

 

When trying to run it in offline mode (or blocking PoE with firewall) the game stops running after the Obsidian logo.

Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
