Update 16 had this:

Our plan is to release our file-format information and expose as much of the data in the game as possible for you to extend and edit. We traditionally do not "hard-code" numbers so that our designers, and you, have the power to easily change and iterate on RPG data. We also plan on releasing localization tools to let communities around the world create localized versions for languages we are not translating Project Eternity into.

I hope any binary or otherwise obscure formats will be disclosed soon after the beta goes live. I would love to get started making some tools so that they're ready for the gold release. Any news on that?

Tentative bump?

I do not intend to do any modding myself, but I second this request just because it's a great way to help people get creative.

Could help with the bug hunting, too.

hell yes. modding for the win :D

has anyone had any success finding anything moddable in the beta?? or maybe obsidian wants to prevent modding during the beta in order to ensure reported bugs arent occurring due to faulty mods :p

I'd say leave the modding until after release, for that reason. There's enough bugs in the beta, without more being introduced by mods!

The strings are exposed. I'm finding all of these Microsoft Access Shortcuts to Weapon files in the Unity assets but I can't extract them because the program I'm using runs out of memory :(
