April 5, 201411 yr I have just woken up from the alien abduction. I go to the entrance to the stairs and the scene changes to downstairs. My character isn't viewable and is stuck at the top of the stairs. I am able to wiggle my character back out to the landing outside the bedrooms and bathroom. If I start a new game I have the same issue and am unable to go downstairs.
April 7, 201411 yr Did you alien abduction trigger after the first day (ie not from being lost in the woods)?If you switch companions from Butters to Kenny does it help? What platform are you using? I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
April 7, 201411 yr Hello , i had similar problem , and was messing around to find solution. I am not sure if anything i have done is solution or it solved it self by constant loading, but i have disabled v-sync in user settings previously ( because of sound sttutering) so i enabled it again , and also i have run game as administrator , and was able to go down the stairs. Hope it helps.

April 19, 201411 yr hi I have the same problem on PC. I have disabled vsync to stop the sound stutter, but the original config makes no difference as well. I have tried running as admin. I did not try uninstall / reinstall. Any pointers?
April 21, 201411 yr So reinstalling also didnt fix it, I also played a whole new playthrough after reinstalling with stuttering sound from the start and still the same. Now the easter holidays are over. Great value for my money.
