Hi I'm stuck after the cutscene at the end of the alien abduction mission when the UFO crashes. After beating the two alien pilots, the cutscene plays and then the loading screen comes up. The next scene starts but it stays at the same place without anything else happening. Neither my character nor the UI is loaded in. I can, however, pause the game and bring up the options menu, but that doesn't help much. I've tried loading from before the alien pilot fight and playing through it again but it continues to get stuck at the same spot. 

 

I'm not sure what is going on here but I really hope you guys out there can help me.

Have you attempted to verify the steam files (going into steam to do so)?

 

That seems to be a default check that is being asked for by the devs when they post with regard to the PC game.
