Please don't replicate the situation with Sand and Qara in NWN2.

I understand that it's important that companions are reactive to your behavior, but I don't want it to get an extent where it ends up hurting the party at very, very inconvenient times.

It seems such a shame to develop a companion's skills and to see that go to waste.

 

The other suggestion is that I would make is to make the companions more disposable or offer a matching alternative. I hated Anders and Isabella in Dragon Age 2. I hated them. But I kept Anders because he was a mage and I needed him to balance out the party.
