What about at a certain pledge level being able to reserve a character name in advance? Is this too early in the development to be thinking about this? I thought maybe at like the 100 dollar pledge level add the ability to reserve a character name in advance.

"reserve" a character name? What do you mean, like you are the only person in the world that can use that player character name?

That's ridiculous.

Dude, its not an MMO, we can both name our characters Marty McFly and nothing will happen.

On an entirely different name-related issue, I BEG OF YOU to allow your character the ability to have a first name and a last name. It's much more immersive and fun for me to give my guys two names, but then it's weird when my best friend from childhood or whatever calls me by my full name all the time. Charlie Brown I am not.

Well I get that its not an MMO but I was thinking there would be some kind of ladder or ranking system so you can compare your accomplishments against others. That kind of thing. But if this game sets you in a world where you're an island unto yourself I guess that's moot then. nm

I highly doubt a story based RPG - like this one will presumably be - will have a "ladder" for comparing exploits, you'll just have to be satisfied with coming to the forum and re-telling your tales of hack-and-slashery.
