nafez Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) So I ran into the infamous corrupted save files glitch that happens when you do the quest "Come Fly With Me." According to what I have read online, your beta testers found this glitch but you decided to go ahead and release the game anyway. Do you plan on fixing this? If so when? What do you have to say for why you released the game even though you knew it was flawed? I eagerly await any and all responses. Edited November 27, 2010 by nafez
WorstUsernameEver Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 First of all: official support is on the.. well.. official Bethesda boards. So what you'll get here is basically fans and enthusiastic gamers trying to offer you help and answers. Good but not ideal. Just a little note on this: Bethesda (the publisher) coordinates the bug reports and has a better idea of the "big picture" while Obsidian handles the bug fixing proper. Second: What version of the game are you playing? Is it the PC version or a console version? Because, as far as I know, the save corruption bug that comes with the Come Fly With Me quest should have already been fixed in the PC version with the last incremental update. Don't quote me on that, though. Third: Yes, Obsidian are working on a big content patch for all the three version that should come out "fairly soon" (official word here). No, they won't go more specific with when they'll release it. Fourth: Sorry to hear about your experience with the game and hope the bug we'll be fixed soon. Hope this helped you!
Humodour Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 The lesson here is: you're a fool for buying the console version. Everyone knows consoles suck. Disclaimer: not an Obsidian employee.

Actually I would say the mistake was buying a game shortly after release and expecting it to be bug-free. Granted, obs has a poor track record on buggy releases, but it's really an industry-wide problem. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.
