I read through the existing posts but did not see one matching my issue - I'm on the PC version of Alpha Protocol, using Win Vista.
I cannot play through two consecutive missions that involve a fight without the game crashing. I cannot complete a single long mission with a lot of fightiing without the game crashing (Brakyo's mansion on Veteran is a good example). I can play without crashes if I consistently exit the game after each mission then restart - but ths is simply ridiculous. I play while disconnected to the internet, but receive no activation errors or anything indicating that I should be online while playing.
Does anyone else have this issue, and is there something wrong I am doing or need to change to get rid of this? I'm on an Alienware Intel Core 2 Duo at 3Ghz, 4GB RAM.
The crashes are always coming from the OS with the "Alpha Protocol has stopped responding..." line, which occurs three times as the game is shutdown by the OS. Every time.
This system runs like a champ for every other game I'm playing, both recent and older classics. Any help or advice is appreciated.
