windex Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Alright, I bought SW: KOTOR yesterday and I had just reformatted my computer via the windows disc and updated all my appropriate drivers. I have the 32-bit version of Windows Vista. When I try to install the game, as disc 1 is installing, i get the message "Feature: Star Wars Knight's of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lord_Files Component: DefaultComponent File: D:\data2.cab Error: Data error (redundancy check)" Prior to reformatting, I had installed the game perfectly fine but couldn't actually play the game, and due to issues with other games, I opted to reformat my computer entirely. I have already tried changing the compatability of setup.exe and running it as administrator, but I get this message regardless. Does anyone know of any solutions to fix my issue? Thank you in advance.
refuse Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Sounds like your disc might be damaged. See if you can manually copy the files to your HD.
Elven6 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Seems like a disc issue to me too, have you tried to clean the disc either with water or a CD cleaner?
