It's a bit sad that the trailers all focus on the silly weapons and the over-the-top violence. I played the first Dead Rising, and to me it felt like an open-ended action RPG with Saint's Row 2 character customization and a touch of survival horror thrown in.

 

If the sequel is anything near that, it's a definite buy for me.

I'm the opposite, though: the Robotron 2084 vibe spliced with over-the-top weapons (not necessarily the violence) looks like the good kind of ridiculousness more games should aspire to.
