The colored targeting circles that distinguish ally from party member from foe have suddenly gone off in the midst of battle. I've checked all the game Options and Game Controls, and can find no place where these can be turned on/off by a keystroke. Can someone please help me? Can't find a thing on this problem in the manual.

 

Mods... if someone answers my question, please lock. Otherwise, can you give me a little leeway here?

Haha that happened to me every now and then in BG2, talking about spiritual successor

 

-You did notice that they appear only in tactical view? ...just making sure

-If rebooting and/or loading previous save don't work, your best bet might be Bio's technical support.

They appear in non-tactical as well, so long as combat is going on. They disappeared in the middle of battle, and I was lost!! I exited the game and re-started, still no joy. So I started asking the question to which apparently there is no answer. The second time I re-started the game, the circles were back! Yay! For now...

 

Mods, okay to lock this I guess. It must just be the ghost of BG2 haunting me.
