nocturns Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Hi, my game won't work, and I have installed all of the patches as well as following all of the instructions from people who want to help, but my game still won't work. It started with that the screen suddently froze, and I had to press ctrl+alt+del and shut down the game, and then restart. But the freezings came more and more frequently, and now I can't even get in to the menu before it freezes. Then Microsoft wants me to send an error report, but that never works.. This is my system: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 4/25/2009, 22:02:29 Machine name: Computer Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234) Language: Swedish (Regional Setting: Swedish) System Manufacturer: MSI System Model: MS-7250 BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz Memory: 3072MB RAM Page File: 472MB used, 3974MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.5512 32bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce 7600 GT DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0391&SUBSYS_22201682&REV_A1 Display Memory: 256.0 MB Current Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Plug and Play-bildsk
Guest PoziomyPion Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Maybe try disabling one core of your processor, KOTOR2 doesn't support multi-cores.

bmm0321 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 If it ran a year ago (presumably on the same system), check the video drivers ... you may have to roll back (as per several other posts here).
Nihilus5078 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Maybe try disabling one core of your processor, KOTOR2 doesn't support multi-cores. KotOR II works fine on my dual core processor computer, not my Vista though, but well, KotOR II doesn't work on Vista at all though. Even though I run K2 on a dual processor, it does crash and is ****ed up at one point though. But easily fixed when you do things right for me.
