April 29, 200916 yr Author I am cautiously interested. I absolutely loved Divine Divinity, thought it was campy and great fun... at least until the drudgery of the final chapter. Then I snapped up and played Beyond Divinity. What a horrendous disappointment. Not sure what to expect of Divine Divinity 2, but I hope they went back to the strong points of the original and learned from the mistakes made with their second game, which was so horrendous I only managed to play about 3/4 of it before I gave up entirely. Wow, you made it further than me. I gave up once I got to the imp village, which was like 1/3 of the way? It was a cash cow so they could keep going long enough to finish DD2. They also make a lot of childrens games which is funny. They must sell well and keep them in business. More power to them. But as for those unsure of DD1: try it. It's a unique game, and it has its flaws, but it's probably fairly close to Baldur's Gate 1 in terms of feel, with combat somewhat more like Diablo. Unlike Diablo, you only have to click once to keep attacking an enemy, thank god.
April 29, 200916 yr Author Oh man, I'm replaying Divine Divinity now and the music is effing superb. So very glad the same guy is doing the music for DD2.
April 29, 200916 yr The music got me into the game originally. The composer is a genius. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
April 30, 200916 yr Tried to get into DD put was totally put off by it's generic look and gameplay. Divinity 2 looks more like an Oblivion clone. Hopefully though, it will have some roleplaying value this time. Rain makes everything better.
