Nihilus5078 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 (edited) I know this will be a long post but, I want to see what other people think of the Saber Forms and Force Forms and which ones are weak and strong. Saber Forms: Ataru (Aggression): Defense: -2 Defense vs. Current Target: +5 Blaster Bolt Deflection: -4 Weapon Threat Range: +1 Single Opponent: + Blaster Deflect: - (Note that Defense bonuses cumulative, so this form provides a net +3 defense against your current target, but -2 defense against enemies that are not your target) Makashi (Contention): Attack Modifier: +3 (Only if target is wielding a lightsaber) Damage: +3 Blaster Bolt Deflection: -5 Saves vs. Force Powers: +2 Against Jedi: + Blaster Deflect: - Shii-Cho (Determination): Attack Modifier: +1 Defense: +3 Defense vs. Current Target: -3 (Note that Defense bonuses cumulative, so this form provides a net +0 defense against your current target, but +3 defense against enemies that are not your target) Many Opponents: + Juyo (Ferocity): Defense: -4 Defense vs. Current Target: +2 Saves vs. Force Powers: -2 Attacks: +1 Critical Hit Attack Modifier: +4 (Note that Defense bonuses cumulative, so this form provides a net -2 defense against your current target) (Note that the Critical Hit Attack Modifier increases the likelihood that a critical threat will result in extra damage) Single Opponents: + Saves vs. Force Powers: - Shien (Perservence): Attack Modifier: +2 Defense vs. Current Target: -5 Blaster Bolt Deflection: +2 Critical Multiplier: +1 (Note that the Attack Modifier also aids in Blaster Bolt Deflection, so this form gives a net +4 Blaster Bolt Deflection) Many Opponents: + Single Opponents: - Soresu (Resilience): Defense vs. Current Target: +2 Blaster Bolt Deflection: +4 Weapon Threat Range: -1 Blaster Deflect: + Niman (Moderation): Attack Modifier: +1 Defense: +1 Blaster Bolt Deflection: +1 Saves vs. Force Powers: +1 Well-Balanced: + Force Forms: Force Channel: FP Regeneration: +50% (non-combat) Force Power Damage: +3 Saves vs. Force Powers: +2 Force Potency: Force Power Damage: +20% FP Cost: +20% Force Affinity: Faster Force Point Regeneration during combat Force Mastery: Force Power Duration: +50% Enemy Saves vs. Force Powers: -2 Saves vs. Force Powers: -4 FP Cost: +20% To me, Niman, Shii-Cho, and Makashi, are the most useful, and for Force forms, Force Channel is the only really useful one. For me Ataru is useless, since all it really does is damage non-targeted enemies defense by 2 and give a +3 to current targets defense and gives some silly little +1 Weapon Threat Range, stupid. Force Forms, Affinity is useless since all it does is increase FP regeneration during combat. Juyo, Potency, Mastery, Shien, and Soresu are all okay, are good when used in the right situation. And for the Jedi Knight games, I generally use the Balanced or Fast style Fast: Damage: Low Enemies Attacked at Once: High Blaster Bolt Deflection: High Attack Speed: Fast Lightsaber Defense: Medium Breaking Saber Locks: Low Balanced: Damage: Medium Enemies Attacked at Once: Medium Blaster Bolt Deflection: Medium Attack Speed: Fast Lightsaber Defense: Medium Breaking Saber Locks: Medium Strong: Damage: High Enemies Attacked at Once: Medium Blaster Bolt Deflection: Low Attack Speed: Slow Lightsaber Defense: Low Breaking Saber Locks: High I'm also going to have a topic about armor, upgrades, and weapons and which ones are weak and strong and Force Powers. refuse Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 My characters are usually more Force-orientated after I've leveled up a bit, so I don't really use that many saber forms, apart from Makashi, which I try to compliment with at least one crystal that gives Blaster Deflection to make up for the lack of defense. I find it really compliments the Force Jump that Guardians/Weapons Masters get. As for Force forms, Force Channel is obviously the best all-around choice (and the one I mostly use) from start to finish of the game, but Force Potency is also quite good for Sith Lords and the lightning storm force power, especially when you're level 30+ and running out of force points during combat isn't an issue anymore. Likewise, Force Mastery can be useful for LS when you need all those extra protective force powers to last longer.
