I am on my way to rescue the queen on Onderon but cannot get past the second force field. I get a message that says Bao Dur can punch a hole in it but he's not in the party. I unfortunately only have one save. I went bach to out droid/shuttle but it is no longer there. I am assuming that I locked myself out from going any further?

I think that is a glitch in the game....you don't need to bash it...just open it.
