Issue running Kotor 2 after I reinstalled the game

Ok... So I've had this game for a while now... couple years. Its been running fun. I get a little bored with it and I want to try using some cheats. I was having issues finding the Game options stuff. I decided to reinstall the game so that I could find the file swkotor2.ini easier. Thats when the issue came up. Suddenly the game wouldn't run after I went through the TSL intro anymore. I dont know why it wont work anymore. I've been told its my graphics card because apearently I need to have opengl 1.4.0 but that doesn't make sence cause it was working perfect before. my graphics card is the ever complicated Intel 82865G graphics controller. Please help me I've been trying to figure this out for months lol

I dont even know what Windows XP v5.1 build 2600 Service Pack 3 is. How do I know if I have it and where do I get it? And my graphics card has 128MB.

The service pack came out late summer, so if you had automatic updates turned on, chances are you now have it. You can easily see if you have it by looking at the Properties->General of 'My Computer'. While we're on the subject, does anybody know if the service pack improves or hinders gameplay of TSL/KotOR?

Try reinstalling the game again, if it played fine before it should play fine again. You stated in your post that you reinstalled the game a second time to find a pacific file, if you did something different while installing it the second time just don

I had problems while installing the game as well, and I contacted Dell and they were able to help. I take it your computer is Dell as well, try contacting them if the problem persists.
