Dark Nekio Boy
I'm trying to install but it keeps saying E:\data2.cab is doing an incorrect function. What does this mean?

Dark Nekio Boy
Okay it seems that my data2.cab file is corrupted or something. I can't copy it or anything said something about being invalid MS-DOS function Edited September 16, 2008 by Dark Nekio Boy
Deadly_Nightshade
Ok, if the data is really corrupted you need to get a new disc - there should be a contact number in the manual that you can call. Dark Nekio Boy
is there any way i can just get a different data2.cab file and install the game that way? or maybe try to fix the data2.cab file?
Deadly_Nightshade
There is one option, but I cannot talk about it on this forum. You might want to try doing this though: Step 1 -- Create a folder on your hard disk, for instance, C:\KCDs. Step 2 -- Copy the entire contents of KotOR 2 CD #1 to that folder Step 3 -- For each of the other CDs, copy only the single filed named dataX.cab to the same folder, where the "X" in dataX.cab is the number 3, 4, and 5 depending on which CD it's on. Step 4 -- Run the installation program Setup.exe from that folder you just created. When you're done installing it, you can delete that folder from your hard disk. "Geez. Dark Nekio Boy
well the only problem is my data2.cab file won't copy. Keeps saying Invalid MS-DOS function.
Katana_Geldar
I'm having the same problem as nekio, except it's with disk 2. And for some absurd reason, my disk appears to be blank so I can't copy any files
