I've tried installing KOTOR II a few times, but I can never get past the 1st disc of installation. After about 15-20 seconds, I'll get the following error. (attachment)

Any way of fixing this? Or should I be considering buying another copy?

A transfer error eh? Well I believe you could search the disks for that specific file and try doing it urself..? but im not sure how that would turn out.

I have had similar errors from games that I have backed up but did not copy properly, and thus I thought I should check. :p

Funny thing, this just happened to me installing Fable: THe Lost Chapters, which I own retail of. Maybe its the years I modded it and installed/removed it constantly, I tried manually installing it but to no avail... Hmmm
