June 7, 200817 yr I purchased the game yesterday after not playing for several years. On my now vista run laptop i can not get the game to run. It installed fine even got it to run once after windows did an update but have not been able to get to run since. This is really driving me crazy. Graphics card is gforce8400 so i should be plenty. I can not get the patch to download either. Can anyone please help this is really bumming me out..... Edited June 7, 200817 yr by Ramus
June 7, 200817 yr If you try the fixes in this thread, http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=48748 it will probably work... I know that replacing the .dll file with the one from kotor is what did the trick on my new laptop with the gforce8400.... Anybody here catch that? All I understood was 'very'.
June 8, 200817 yr Author Tried all of them i get the game to run once for each fix then it goes back to the same problem the next time i try to play. And most of the fixes mean i lose my saved games each time too. Any idea?
June 9, 200817 yr Oh! I had that problem too, with losing my saved games... You have to run the game as an administrator. Right click on the short cut and set it up to run that way. Then it should be able to save games, as long as you allow it to run as an administrator every time it asks you to. Anybody here catch that? All I understood was 'very'.
