metadigital Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I still don't get it, about the horse thing. It was an etymology joke. The English word hippopotamus derives through classical Latin, from the Greek compound of nouns hippop OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT

Pidesco Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Isn't triple posting a bit of an over the top insult at TA's reading comprehension? Also, my jokes are so much more awesome when someone doesn't get them. "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands. Heja Sverige!! Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
Guest The Architect Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I still don't get it, meta. Well, I could've said that I was pretending to not get when I said I still don't get it, so you'd fall for it and the joke wouldn't be on me, but you'd all see through that lie I'd say. Well, excuse me while I go contemplate over the fact that this is yet another joke that I didn't get it and needed it to be explained to me to get, or in other words, excuse me while I go contemplate over the fact that I'm just a silly little West Australian, but who will one day, take revenge on all you clever peoples... Mwuhahahaha!
