I played FF7 a few hours on my PS2. Thats it.

And I still have my PS1 safely tucked away in a padded case in a drawer somewhere along with all the games I have for it.

 

Backwards compatibility is overated, only truly affecting those who have sold their old consoles on eBay or the nostalgia hungry, two small groups of gamers.

 

I understand that the issue here is that Sony is a big fat greedy liar but so are Microsoft and, to a seemingly lesser extent, so is Nintendo.
