dsan1
Hi everybody! I read somewhere that no matter who you employ to do soemthing on the workbench (I always use Bao-Dur, he's just good at everything...) the Component-Rate when breaking down an item is always depending on your Exile's repair skill. Are there any workarounds for this? I know that when you control Mira on Nar Shaddaa you can use her skill but as I didn't know this in the first place her repair skill is as poor as my Exile's ... mr_raider
As you noticed, the exile's skill is always used. However once you reach a repair skill (modified) of 20, you breeakdown at maximum efficiency. The only instances where the exile's skill is not used is when you are not in the party. For chemicals however, the users treat injury skill is always used. Edited August 29, 2006 by mr_raider
vaxen83
Might encounter skill-increasing equipment that can raise those skills which you have points in. Some like a skills package, tech specialist belt and infiltrator gloves might raise those skills. And then there are also those feats that when taken to third tier level give +3 bonus to a few skills. An example is like a gear head feat. Deep from within... Victims live a life of fantasy. dsan1
Thanks for your info! I was more thinking of a "mod" (cheat in some people's eyes. I don't think so though, I think it is a glitch that all the party members use the Exile's repair skill for breakdown rate) but I decided to put some few points in repair and now it's no problem anymore. Some points in repair already give you quite good rates, only 0 ranks give you an overall breakdown rate of 1 which is absolutely useless ... vaxen83
Actually, Repair 15 will suffice. You can always take it to 20 also. However, would generally leave it around 15 and say spent next few points in a skill like Awareness. Could also think of it in terms of having enough points in skills to do air speeder quest on Nar Shaddaa, say having Computer Use, Demolitions, Security, at least 10+. (Repair being another one) Quest for disabling Lupo's swoop racing droid might also work with above skills used for fixing air speeder, although Computer Use/Persuade might have to be more than 10.
