Bakuba
Just picked up KOTOR2 yesterday and since intsallation, I have had massive technical issues with this game. I have a very new, very up to date system, perhaps not top of the line, but very close to it. This game should run like butter on this system, but that has been anything but the case. Overall, framerate is very good, but I'm constantly getting graphical glitches such as discoloration and massive amounts of shadow on the party members so that they almost look completely black. There is often what appears to be missing textures on alot of doors, they simply appear to be black. Additionally, characters will often glitch out, and I am unable to move them any longer. Since I have added more members to my party, I can use tab to switch to another character, and then I can usually move them, but generally, once it has started to get into this character freezing mode, it's only a matter of time before the game basically becomes unplayable for me. Sometimes, when I'm in the computer console screen, things will freeze up as well, and I will be unable to choose any of the listed options, or leave the console or get to the game main menu at all and am forced to resort to Alt-F4 to even close the program. Here are some system specs ... Windows XP BFG GeForce 7800 GTX Vid card AMD 4400+BV 64x2 Dual Core OCZ 500 2048 2x1024 RAM WD Raptor WD740GD 74.3G SATA Hard Drive DFI nF4 SLI-DR Expert Mainboard If anyone could provide me with any assistance in getting this game playable, I would greatly appreciate it, otherwise I may have to bust out my 4 year old comp and try it on there, which would be ridiculous really. Bakuba
No, I didn't realize that was possible, I'll have to look into that and see if that provides any joy.
Hassat Hunter
Apparently it can be done from the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen. Considering I have no dual-core I cannot confirm ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. At least top 5. Bakuba
It was indeed the dual core that was causing me problems. I downloaded a update from http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Techni...1_13118,00.html and everything seems to be working fine now. Thanks!
