alanschu Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 *bump* (up a whole one thread in the crazy popular Devs Corner forum). It seems as though Battlefront.com is having a sale of 30 days at 30% off for most of their games purchased through direct download.
alanschu Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Here's an old school bump. In any case, it seems as though Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 opted for digital distribution only for their game. While it did anger some people (many of which weren't really sure what DD entailed, judging by their forum), they went with this model because they had too many hassles with boxed distribution, particularly in North America, and getting shelf space for the game.
Nartwak Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Did you hear about Triton closing down? Apparently it dropped off the face of the Earth without even a by-your-leave. It's sort of the dd apocalypse scenario.
Nartwak Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I'm not surprised, their only remarkable asset was Prey.
Fionavar Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I think we have wondered enough to transfer this to C&C. The universe is change; your life is what our thoughts make it - Marcus Aurelius (161)

OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Nartwak Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Yeah, the network was gone. Even the Triton website was gone. People couldn't download games and I they couldn't play their games either.
metadigital Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Four PC game tiles from Activision -- Call of Duty OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
alanschu Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Cool. I never would have expected Call of Duty to be available via Steam.
