Red Eclipse bug AND game editor *need save files*

*interesting finding on KSE*

i found a particular boolean interesting

 

from KSE -->Globals-->booleans-->300_NAR_Visquis_call

 

this SEEMS exactly what we need to change!!

 

i tried change it to 1, before leaving the ebon hawk, after leaving the hawk, no hope! and, most importantly, it changed back to 0!

 

does the game have a particular code that does not allow you to finish it =_=??

 

 

 

*basic info*

the red eclipse cut-scene (the flying creature counting the spices...)

occurs whenever you leave the refugee center (is it center? you may know it)

REGARDLESS of your REP, i tried walking-in and walking-out without doing any quests before, still works!

 

take two steps, and it shows "Journal Updated", then the cutscene, and when you go to the hawk, the red eclipse awaits.

 

so it's not just the comlink message is bugged, but also the "reputation" part is also bugged

 

 

okay, i had been tricked by this da n bug for more than 20 hours

 

i tried korriban-nar--

or korriban-dantooine-nar

or korriban-dantooine-dnux-nar

 

it any case i wasn't able to get a message from the comlink

 

i also tried different combinations, and dialogue, finished just some subquests

 

almost paid the short guy 2000 to know my status, i made sure to receive the red eclipse cut scene (that they are gonna board the ship) after i have enough reputation

say, "The exchange...with or without head"

 

and i made sure the thugs were killed before i met the boss

 

still, no luck

 

 

 

I BELIEVE THIS WAS CAUSED BY A BUG THAT REFRESH THE CHARACTER EVERYTIME HE/SHE ENTERS THE HAWK

 

my proof was that, after killing the boss, he leaves a corpse

 

the game very kindly Auto-Save, and send you to the exit of the hawk

right after the Auto-Save screen, the screen blacks out, and the tech was generated in front of your eyes (got it?)

 

when you walk back to the security room (boss dies there), there is no remains, as if nothing happened in the hawk

 

i suspect this "cancel" out the trigger

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

please, obsidian, there are SO many game-killing bugs out there and you guys aren't working to solve months later, what r u doing?

just did a little test

 

right after killing the red eclipse boss, i saved before being transported to the EXIT of ebon hawk

 

then, the game auto-saves as always, right after i have reached the exit

 

 

and i had just compared the strings...no difference!!

 

so, my suggestion on the black screen issue cancelling the trigger does not stand

now, the only thing left is a save game file

 

RIGHT after killing the red eclipse boss, but HAS NOT exited the hawk

 

by doing a comparison, it is possible to ADD BACK the values needed for trigger

 

if anyone here is kind enough to offer such a save, you maybe the hero to SOLVE this GODDARN, WELLKNOWN bug!

if you find the save files to be a little big, try to use winrar to "Cut" them into small size

Even though I have no idea of the real issue:

 

After the killing of the Boss you should be placed back to an "enter Ebon Hawk" mode. After that (and possible movies/Visas encounter) you can leave the Hawk, where you get a message, then proceed as plotted.

 

Otherwise, see here if that didn't has a possible fix for this (whatever it is) problem...

team-gizka doesn't seem to have a patch for this, yet

 

 

oh, and i am not sure whether Atton receives a message stating "He has a message" or not, before being placed at the exit

 

since i have NEVER got past this bug (never completed the game), can anyone answer @@?
