Llyranor Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Just a quick stupid question (remember, kids, there are no stupid questions - only stupid people). What exactly is the role of a game producer? As opposed to a designer. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Darque Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Probably the main gopher who makes things happen and gets things that are needed for the project.

Is the producer actually involved in making the actual game? (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
alanschu Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I'd say no. He's the one that gets the team what they need and whatnot to work on the project, and does pretty much everything to help make the game, aside from actually working on the game.
