pragmatous
Hi, I'm stuck in kotor 2 for the PC version. I'm at the point where i'm after visiting the sith lords planet and i'm suppose to go to dantooine now. However, when i try to get off the ship on dantooine, the game freezes up and its just pitch black. The curser is there however. I don't have a problem with going anywhere else. I have to ctrl-alt-del and end program in order to quit the game. I then have to restart it over again. I'v tried going with 2 other people that was on dantooine before and i tried going alone. Nothing works, just a pitch black screen. I also tried updating the video card drivers - nothing. I went to dantooine, narshadda, onderon, and then the sith lord planet ( i can't remember the name). I'm playing the darkside but i didn't kill any of the jedi. I didn't know i was suppose to playing the darkside. I think 3 jedi's are alive and the one is dead which i had no control over on the sith lord planet. Has anyone else ran into the "black screen of death (BSOD)" on dantooine? Did you find a way to solve that? and does the patch fix that? i actually had this problem right after i was done wih nar shaddaa. I wanted to go back to dantooine to buy a red crystal but it kept giving me that bsod. thanks!
Mark Havel
I encoutered a similar trouble long long ago. I reloaded a quite old savegame and it worked well. You should try this, it seems the game corrupts the savegames and the game.
pragmatous
=/ i don't have an old save game =( this sucks ... i started a new game though, going lightside this time as it seems the lightside has more of a story line than the darkside thanks! Mark Havel
Well you know it is always recommended to save in different slots. Personnally I use at least 20 to 30 slots per character.
alanschu
I was able to work around this problem by doing Dantooine last (or at the very least, not finishing it). In fact, I'm not 100% sure since it's been a while, but I think you're fine as long as you don't do Dantooine FIRST.
Mark Havel
I've just done Dantooine first without any glitch...
