I finally got enough influence with Handie to train her to be a Jedi, and I successfully reach the end of the conversation (In which Kreia will say 'betrayal').

 

Then it either

-Crashes

-Returns to title menu (Most recent.)

-I appear in Atris' academy with nobody else around.

 

 

Any help?

I guess that would have helped the being stranded in the academy, but I am still returning to the title screen (In which I can't press any of the buttons.)

try re-installing the game it might help but you'll loose all your progress

You can keep your save game files (copy them to a CD, another part of your harddrive, or similar) and uninstall and re-install the game, without loss of progress.

you don't even have to move them, when you uninstall kotor 2 it asks you if you want to keep the save games and just click yes. the saved games will still be in the swkotor2 directory after uninstallation is done.
