Gaining prestiege class

I was playing my first time(DS guardian) and I had no idea about how I would gain a prestige class, but I thought it was part of the storyline until my brother told me he had read about in somewhere and by then I was halfway through

the academy on Malachor V

 

So no marauder for me that time. I think they could have given me a hint at least...

Same here, I discovered about prestige classes pretty late. Kriea was getting on my nerves so I didnt bother talk to her, until one time I did and found that out. I was like wtf, could I hav gotten it sooner ? I think I was lvl 17 at the time...

The soonest you can get it is at level 15 I believe, so it's not like you missed out on much. Besides the games already easy enough without prestige classes.
