Running problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, i know this might be a stupid question because of all the FAQ's on both the LucasArts website and this forum, but i have (i think it's called) a runtime error.

Here's my story:

When i dubble-click the SWKOTOR icon, the game screen opens (where you click game, updates, etc.) and i click "game". After that, my screen turns black (normal) and then the green KOTOR mouse appears (normal) for like 2 seconds (not normal). After that, everything returns back to normal, i am on my desktop and KOTOR is "not responding". If i press alt+f4 when the green mouse appears, the game resumes (not normal, it should do this automaticly. No problem untill here, i have this with most of my games). Then i should be able to play the game. The "quit game" menu opens (after the "lucasarts" stuff) en and click cancel. Then, that bolt guy stands there with the menu on the right side but i can't click it?! Can somebody tell me what's the problem/what i'm doing wrong?

I've read the last post and i've also checked lucasarts' site, the FAQs, but my hardware is working properly and i have enough space too...

Thank you for your time and help!

PS: i have windows XP, if this is needed info....

Could you provide us with a bit more detail about your hardware?  Off the top of my head you could try disabling sound and movies in the control applet.

Okay, i disabeld sounds and videos and now it's running . So far so good. Then i start a new game, good, but when i click "play", my pc crashes after the loading. The screen turns grey with snow (like you have on old tv's when the connection isn't good) with on some places a few parts of images and icons on my desktop. I have to reset my pc when this happens.

About my hardware, i don't really know but i have an Acer Travelmate 660 with Intel Centrino (that's one further then pentium IV), that's all i know. Sorry.

Is any one having the same problem as me?
