when an item has got the following feature :

 

"Damage Resistance: Resist 5/- vs. Sonic", what does that mean ?

 

This "5 / -" is confusing me ....

It means it always absorbs 5 points of sonic damage.

 

(the /- is a bit redundant but in D&D it's usually a +X which can bypass the defence).

I have to agree with Volourn.  Bioware is pretty much dead now.  Deals like this kills development studios.
