I believe it stands for base attack bonus, the bonus you get to attack from leveling up.

Yes, the Base Attack Bonus...

 

It's the value that you add to the attack roll, without the bonus for STR (Or DEX), Feats and weapons...

 

Increase by 1 for each level...

 

If you Attack Roll is higher than targets defence you hit them...

 

Also in blaster deflection you make an attack roll, with modified BaB, if your is higher than attaccking opponent you deflect the blaster, if your is 10 point higher you reflect back to attacker...
