February 16, 200520 yr Greetings all I've read through the entire forum (well, 90% anyways) and I think I'm the proud owner of a new bug. w00tness.. It happens in the Peragus Hangar Control console, most options in there work fine but each time I click one of the camera feeds or the communications link the game locks up almost completely. What that means is that the cursor can still be moved but clicking does nothing. Ctrl-Alt-Del turns the cursor into the white windows cursor but doesnt exit me from the game into Task Manager. Pressing Enter twice brings back the KotOR cursor so the Task Manager is obviously the active window after Ctrl-Alt-Del but its locked down and cant do anything about anything. Only way out is a hard reset. This bug seems to have spread into the main in-game menu as well, as I started doing one console option then saving, then another then saving, then right after I'd saved for the third time (when you're back back to the save/load menu) it froze on me again... I've had a few other minor gfx bugs but those were sorted out easily enough. This however, has me Completely Stumped. Luckily there are two pcs in the house and when installed on the second pc (transferred savegame) the console problem was gone. I dont wanna play it on that though, its got crappy specs compared to this one and this one aint that great as you can see below. So anyone, if you have a workaround/fix or want more information about the bug/my specs/anything - ask and I'll supply it. Thx for reading
February 16, 200520 yr Author You could always try a reinstall on the machine you want to play on... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not quite willing to do that yet, once I start walking down that road I know Im gonna end up formatting/reinstalling everything just in case But I have some good news to share with you good folks, the console/menu problem disappeared just 2 minutes ago, here's what I did: * created a Radlink shortcut, set everything to a mix of performance/quality * started the game, got incredibly laggy in the load menu, reset time * put all radlink options on performance, lag even worse - reset time again * put AGP to auto in BIOS, then turned AGP OFF with Smartgart and voil
