This is a pretty big spoiler if you haven't played at all.

 

 

At the end of the game, in Malachor V right when we try to land, the Ebon Hawk has a horiffic crash landing, and then eventually falls into what looks like a bottomless pit, only to come back and save you at the last second.

 

Does anyone have any logical explanation as to why is this.

 

P.S. I apoligize if this has already been discussed, to tired/lazy to use search option.
