I've thought a little bit about why Battle Meditation could be so consistently a "thing apart" from other Force skills, and if, maybe, Bastila had a connection to the life force of others similar to what the Exile had, and that's what gave her the ability to use Battle Meditation so well. I sort of fancy that idea, actually, mainly because I fancied that that was a talent of my Exile.

Every character with the Force can get Battle Meditation in the game. Bastila's is greater because she can influence massive battles in space, and probably even wars (like she did in KOTOR 1) while everybody else influence normal combat and nothing more.

I wasn't saying anything to the contrary. "I FANCY that my exile" was good at Battle Meditation as well, although perhaps not as practiced with it.

 

That's beside the point anyway, though. I was trying to suggest that Bastila's connection to the Force was a connection through people and their power, their connection to the Force, much as the Exile's.

 

I mean, it's certainly interesting that Bastila manages to bring the life back into Revan... and forms a Force bond with him in the process.

Intersting theory, but I find it doubtful. If she was the same as the Exile in her form of attachment to the force, then she would not have been influenced by the Dark Side when Malak had captured her. At least my interpretation of how the Exile was, was that since

he was a wound in the force

, he was not influnced with it like other people. To me Bastila clearly was influenced by it. Not to mention I think the Jedi would have noticed something like that. They noticed it on the Exile pretty quickly. And lastly, she formed a Bond only with Revan under extreme circumstances, the Exile formed bonds with everyone easily.

It could be the same because the Exile went againest the order and followed Raven to war. While Bastila did not. They thought they had control over Bastila so they where not afraid. While the exile scared them.

Perhaps people fall to the darkside because a "wound in the Force" created on a personal level, which forced the person to succumb to the Dark Side; although for the force as a whole, it's comparable to a pin-prick.

 

In any case, the Exile wasn't always a wound in the Force, but something was always special about his connection to it - a direct sensitivity to life force.

I suppose it is possible that scenerio is true, a wound could cause someone to succumb to the dark side. From a non story stand point though, it would take away the uniqueness and originality of the exile if Bastila was supposed to be the same way. It sounded to me like this was supposed to be a rare and unique event. We could of course argue that it is true, but it would take away the originality of the Exile if it really was.
