In a few parts you were able to kill/hurt people for cutscenes, for example the guy in the cantina on Tatoonine, you were able to choke him, and it made him piss his pants he was so scared :D . Like if you become a sith lord EARILER you can through people around like Darth Bandon did.

Anyway, you can't become a sith lord early. Sith lord is the big title. It's like becoming president when you're 4 years old. At the end of the game you become THE sith lord if you're DS i guess.
